Acknowledgements
The Trust seeks to benefit agriculture in East Anglia by:
- Helping young people to achieve their goals through education and training opportunities,
- Funding research in technical developments,
- Educating the public in food production,
- Promoting a deeper understanding of environmental and wildlife issues,
- Providing training equipment,
- Supporting breed development.
A measure of the difference the Trust’s grants make to individuals and research bodies is shown by the thank-you letters we receive from grateful recipients. Although the Trust rarely funds training or a project in its entirety, the impetus given by its grants is shown in the following extracts from a selection of the many acknowledgements the Trust receives:
“I would like to express how grateful I am for your generosity and support throughout my studies. It simply wouldn’t have been possible to achieve my life-long ambition to become a vet without your help, and I can’t thank you enough for your continued support.”

“I would like to thank the Felix Cobbold Trustees for the continuation of the funding for the Professional Development Training; I am sure this will be greatly appreciated by the trainees.”
Ron Stobart, The Arable Group
“It is with very great pleasure that I write to thank the Felix Cobbold Trust for their very generous donation of £3200 to the Worshipful Company of Farmers for the benefit of LH. It is important that we have a highly educated workforce to keep our country at the forefront of agriculture worldwide.”
Jeremy C
“I would like to thank the Cobbold Trust for your continued support over the past 4 years, they have really flown by, and I honestly cannot think how I would have survived financially without your assistance. Receiving this grant from Cobbold has enabled me to concentrate on my studies rather than constantly worrying about money.”
